I am Guilty of Sunday's

A very windy day.
Hola everyone!

Well today, I got up early, tidied up every room in the place, got the washing done and I am feeling refreshed! Oh, I think I am getting my groove back! My zombie like state has lifted somewhat, and I am focused and back on track. It's amazing what a drop of gin can do for the soul! Not really, I was so tired I did not drink any last night. (Thank God.)

I feel this change in mood and energy may have some thing to do with the weather.

Big fella and I were listening to the weather forecast last night and a weather warning of gales was issued in our area were sweeping in today. It would seem they were right. The wind at this moment is whipping and weaving through the house and I can hear the wind singing through the waves and echoing through the chimney breast.

But strangely, realising it is now (already!)November, it is quite warm.
It should be a least a wee bit nippy in the cold department, but I got my self in quite a sweat cleaning and had to open the windows. This of course was a crazy idea, as the wind blasted through and knocked some of my plants over on the window sill. Oh, I am a fool if ever there was one. But the wind has done me the world of good and I am feeling back to my old self.

Now, on to guilt's of the (minute) week. These are just some of the highlights:

This time ladies and gentlemen I am guilty of:

1) Swearing when I saw this.

Excuse me? Where has the oven door that didn't work properly, but what the hell, it warmed up the house gone?????
Well it would seem that a repair man has come and kindly taken our door away to fix it properly. Very nice of him it is too.

What is not so nice that this was three weeks ago and we have not seen head nor tail of him since. We can't get through to him on a telephone or email. Big fella and I take up two different positions on this topic. I hope nothing is wrong and he is OK and isn't in desperate need of help somewhere, and big fella thinks he has done a runner.

With a broken oven door ?!? Yeah, I heard they are like gold dust on eBay!! I just hope he is alright and we hear from him soon. If not, lovely landlady will get us a new oven. I asked for a AGA. She was not impressed.

2) Hiding a big dirty secret.

Isn't this nice? I recently received a beautiful card from my wonderful friend who has moved to Australia. But alas it is there under false pretenses. It is to hide this.
which was done when I lit this candle last night.

Please do not tell big fella! Ekkk! Any suggestions on what to use to take it off? I am afraid of making it worse!!

3) Memory wiping.
(Ohhh Claire, how could you?)
I have done another very silly thing. In the mist of my zombie like state this week, I decided to store away all my precious photographs I have taken over the past year on to disk, as my computer is getting very fat in the memory department and was at bursting point. So I did the right thing and took them all off my computer to disk, pressed save to disk and PERMANENTLY DELETED them off my recycle bin into the technology ether. Regrettably I did not check to see if the save button did as it was bide and of course I was was frantically searching empty disks, save in the knowledge that they didn't save and this was a useless exercise. Photographs gone. Well not another word about it, lesson sure to be forgotten knowing me and I will just have to start again. Blub!!

Dear me! Well, I think I good walk in the wind will do me good. It might wake me up a bit and turn me in to a self sifficent woman with no need for guilty posts. I doubt it though! I am going to try and fly!
Here comes Monday, Bring it on!

I am Guilty of Sundays!

I am Guilty of Sunday's!

Oh dear, is it Sunday again? I sadly say this with heavy heart as it means I have to go to work tomorrow, and although I love my job, unfortunately some of the people I work with can make it a very hard job to do sometimes. None the less, moving on. Here comes my confessions of the week.

1.

Our dearest friend Holly had invited me to play around with words and emailed a strong selection for moi to post about. Regrettably due to work circumstances my post was very dull, heavy and at times angry, and I don't want to be having you all read that, now that is drivel! So the post sits steaming in my edits pages never to be read.

Holly, please expect my sincere apologies on being so late with your request that I asked for, and hopefully next week I will be in a jollier mood and I will post the play with words soon. Trust me, if I had posted it, you would be looking for the nearest hammer to bash your computer screen with, and we do not want any of that do we?

Enough with that sorry tale and moving on to

2.

I seemed to have accumulated a disgusting habit of standing over a large pot of cold stew that I had made last night for me and the big fella, and greedily shoveling spoonfuls into my gob. After 5 minutes of this behaviour the pot may as well serve as a trowel.

3.

I am guilty of looking out windows for hours on end (it would feel like) to have a good ole think.

Here is what happened during these thoughts:

The wee birdies coming to visit and complained that I have no form of bird accommodation attached to the building, it was autumn already and what the hell was keeping me!

I explained that it was not my property and I couldn't possibly start drilling into walls and the like. They told me to dry my eyes and that I could get a bird house that you can stick to your windows with plastic sucker things. They also told me that the hardware shop up the road had them on special offer and were very reasonably priced so I had no excuse!

4.

Becoming very lazy in my looking out the window for thinking time phase and retreated to the sofa to look out the window, think and let the clouds roll by.

5.

While out for a walk with big fella this week,(see how big he is, you can't even see his head!) he found a large branch, and informed me is was now his staff, his name was Big Fella the Brave and I must obey to his every command because I was a hobbit and he was wizard of the wood.
So being the Hobbit that I am, I collected some rock hard conkers and every so often I would aim one of these at his head as I walked behind Big fella the Brave. Fun day out of all! (for me!)

6.

I am also guilty of forgetting to tell you all about these great October festivities going on right now!

I am Guilty of Sunday's and for all of you!

Well, it is that time again, I am guilty of Sunday's. So sorry it is very behind schedule. Isn't time flying by?
You would think my guilt would be my behaviour in my last post, but no, there is something far worse. I haven't said thank you for awards!
So now is the perfect time to rectify that.

Oscar Moment! I am so happy that both Crafty Cutie and Boo have nominated me for this lovely award! Go check out these brilliant blogs! A feast for the eyes and food for thought too! Here's the deal:

1. Thank the person who gave this to you.

2. Copy the logo and place it in your blog.

3. Link the person who nominated you.

4. Name 7 things about yourself that no one would really know.

5. Nominate seven 'Kreativ Bloggers'

6. Post links to the seven blogs you nominate

7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know you nominated them.

Oaky doaky!

1. I am at the moment applying for a new position in work. I have until the 2nd of October to leave in the application. Very nervous about the whole affair for various torrid reasons that I just could not bear to bore you with. ( I will probably do it next week.) Wish me luck!

2. I have today prepared a sweetcorn and chicken chowder for this autumn day, but me and big fella devoured the lot! I have to say, it is good! Mmm, Mmm, yummy in my (our) tummy!

3.My favourite footwear are the most comfortable ones. I have one foot bigger than the other and whenever I wear new pair of beautiful heels, I trip up and fall flat on my face as a reminder that one shoe is too big and I am a silly fool for forgetting it. So, trainers, boots, anything that has to be tied around my feet will do. No slippers though. I don't do slippers, bare foot bohemian babe here. (Stubbed toes and air turning blue, a regular occurrence.)

4. I have only just realised that people who take wonderful pictures spent hours getting the right one. I would take a picture and get so annoyed that it did not come out right, yet yesterday, a woman was taking a picture of the sunset outside and she must of taken thousands.(What a nosy git I am!)

When I told big fella, he explained that photographers spend hours taking the same picture to get the best picture. Oh right! I better borrow big fellas tent and sleeping bag next time I go out picture hunting!

5. I like to give people the illusion that I am a brilliant physic, as big fellas car has a certain loud noise that I recognise when he is driving, so whenever I hear him coming down the street, I mystically whisper to whoever is with me,

"Big fella will arrive very sssooonnnn!"

Works like a charm! Now, if only I could hear our land lady coming about the rent?

6. Favourite thing to do at the moment: Sitting in the library chair, (Dusty creaking wreck that never fails to make big fella doze off. Saves me having to go to separate measures of drugs when I am in no mood for him, kidding....) and reading the Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame.

I love it, I read the stories, daydream about the characters and have a wee childhood giggle!

7. My favourite food in the world is potatoes. It has to be mashed with salt and pepper and far too much butter. No gravy, no sausages with it. Mashed potato. Not chips, sauteed, grilled roasted, all that pa lava with potatoes. Just a bowl of mash, any size, (I prefer the mixing bowl myself.)

Especially beneifical for me in the winter. I could live of mash potatoes everyday and walk about with my Buddha potato belly hanging out. (Elasticised waist trousers, you say? But of course.) I love mashed potatoes. I love them. If a restaurant do not have it on the menu, I get a wee bit edgy. What can I say, I'm Irish.

Thank you again to Boo and Crafty Cutie. Here is my nominee's. (sorry, just keeping it real with the Oscars moment and all)

I am supposed to give this award to seven blogs I love. Well this was very hard. Because I read them all, every day. I know, I have no life, but I the feeling of that I am hibernating with you.

So if you have read this drivel of a post and have got this far, you are very brave, and you have won the award, appoint yourself officially tagged. I don't think I comment back on many of your lovely thoughts and gestures and comments on my posts and I just want you all to know I really love hearing your thoughts and stories on you blogs and they truly make my day. I feel like I know a lot of you better than I know people I talk to every day face to face! If I ever met you I would give you a big hug!

Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, advice and most of all, laughter! .....thank you! (I am not good with writing)

Whats that you say? No, I am not drinking! I just believe I have not said a proper thank you. Your thoughts means the world to me. So, now, enough of this nonsense, I am off to read Wind in the Willows and get some tissue as there seems to be such thing stuck in my eye.............................

((Hugs))

Sunday Reflections

I am not posting my guilty Sunday list today, as I feel this is more appropriate. Some sad news had been received on few blogs this week and my heart is saddened and heavy.

To all the people who need kind words and loving thoughts in this time of need please know I am thinking of you.

Heart felt blessings to you all.

I am Guilty of Sunday's week two!

Well here we are again, it is Sunday and you know what that means, confession time! (If you want to post your own guilt's, please feel free to take my picture and spread the word!)

Here we go:
This week I was guilty of:

1) Sitting on the computer far too long looking up images of Leo Sayer. Someone mentioned I looked like him, and upon judging by my recently hair do, it would seem they are correct.

2) Telling big fella I did not want to go shopping with him, yet handed him a biblical list of things for him to get me that are no use, as I was busy blogging and drinking coffee.

3) Giddy with my recently brainwave of a idea The Pumpkin Project (find on my side bar if you want to join in!) I drew my picture with permanent marker which has now stained land lady's pine table.I can not get it off. Any tips?

4) Writing this at 3.30am, as I just can nott sleep, I am completely awak..........Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Wanna play?

(This is a picture of me with my diffused hair. True life portrait.)

Welcome to I am guilty of........Sundays! Every Sunday I will tell you what I am guilty of doing that week! Kinda like confession. So I will go to heaven now like my granny said. If you want to play along, leave a comment and I will post your guilty's of the week! (This probably won't work, but I give it a whirl!)

Sooooo: I was guilty of:

* Being a bit arsey with big fella yesterday for no apparent reason. (sorry big fella)

* Eating far too much bad stuff, and not enough good stuff this week.

* Listening to a drunken argument between a couple outside our flat until they looked up and sawing me gawping at them with binoculars and popcorn.

* Letting the dishes pile up. (so not me)

* Watching you tube videos even though our bill will be sky high. (we didn't get unlimited broadband Internet. Our existing contract is iron tight.)

* Turning potty mouth back side driver when someone cut big fella up on the road, nearly causing a accident and then flipped the birdie! ( I act like I don't care, but I am like a lioness when someone is rude to my big fella!)

So there you have it, out of my system! Is there anything you are guilty of this week? Go on, spill!
