I have stars in my belly writing about this!

First of all I have to say, Sarah from Cottage Garden Studios is freaking me out! In the best possible way of course. (If you are not familiar with this blog, link. Do it now. You really must. Never mind all this upcoming tripe.)But of course if you are still with me, (hello?) the reason is this.
Recently, Sarah posted some wonderful pictures of her adorable daughter Nonni, showing off some very nifty Circus acrobatics! Well, I was astounded. Firstly, there is a school of circus? I literally thought you had to run away! Secondly, it brought childhood memories flooding back, regrettably, some I was trying to forget.

But it did remind me of a time when I was a wee girl, my mum introduced me to a whole new set of friends that had entered her life and were the best friends she ever had. These women were street performing artists. Fire eaters, unicyclists, jugglers the list goes on and my face was constantly painted with beautiful flowers, stars and dragonflies!(probably explains why I don't put makeup on much these days!)
I just had the best time! Strong women surrounded me, teaching me not only these gifts, (which I had sadly lost to adulthood) but of nature, the world and wonderful possibilities. I am very proud to tell you that we are very much still in touch and Christmas eve was a blast! I wanted to grab that wee piece of magic back. Yesterday I, by chance clicked on the wrong button on google, (isn't it always the way these tales go) and up popped an application form for trapeze and circus lessons around the corner where I live! No lie!
Needless to say, the application form has been filled in and sent and I await to twirl in the sky with silk ropes and balance my life on my tippy toes on a long piece of string! I can not wait! I might have to apply my own face paint, but no matter! I am going to do it and I am very excited!

Then today Sarah (you still don't know who Sarah is? What are you still doing here? Go and link!) writes on her wonderful quilting bee about what we would like to do to reclaim the magic? Well Sarah, this is it!I feel this is down to you! I so thank you for it! I will let you all know how the twirling silks unravel! I just hope i am not typing about it from a hospital bed!
Cheerio for now!

Claire! How fun! I'm so excited for you! I would love to do something like that. Likewise, her question on her Bee challenged me to try to recall something that made me giggle! (beyond my little grandson) I am still thinking. But a question posed is a question to be answered. How sweet you are to mention her blog. Have fun on the trapese!!

What a brilliant idea! I'd love to join the circus! Not sure who I'd be though. Can't do trapeeze - I'm afraid of heights!

NO WAY! NO FREAKIN' WAY! AAAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, you brave, brave, exciting girl. Here I just finished reading about your sweet quiet life and how you love your solitude (you and I sound very much alike, by the way), and now I read that you will be flying through the air!!! I LOVE it. You MUST get one of the circus guys to take a photo for you. Can't wait to hear more. Good luck! Break a leg, but not really, or whatever circus people say to each other.
