Pumpkin Project

Hello everyone, welcome to The Pumpkin Project! I was going around shopping with big fella, when he mentioned that we must get a pumpkin for Halloween! I was so happy because to be honest, I didn't think he would like the idea and I would have to just buy one just in spite of him.

Anyway, this made me think, I know there is a lot of fall/autumn lovin people in blog land and I am sure you are expert at cutting pumpkin lanterns. ( Check out October Farms carving equipment, I thought at first was a surgical case!). So I thought I would try out this out on my blog and call it The Pumpkin Project.

Basically if you want to take part, just email me your pics of your carved pieces and a wee bit about it and I will post them on my blog! By the way, it doesn't have to be pumpkins either, my dad always used a turnip! It can be anything at all. (No body parts please.)
I would love to see all your creations and show them off!

Feel free to take my wee drawing and post it on your blog to spread the word! I am looking forward to this and hopefully you will to! Happy carving! (Be safe! I work in a nursery, I can't help it!)

Sounds like fun. I will have to see if I can dig up my supreme pumpkin carving deluxe photos. I won't be doing that again. ;)

I haven't carved a pumpkin in years. As the kids got older, they just took that right on over. They do come up with some good ones though. I am so glad that big fella got the pumpkin and you didn't have to just because you could. LOL

Too cool, I'll tweet this.

Our pumpkins were always Charlie Brown-esque. Oh boy, now that I think about it, it's almost Great Pumpkin watchin' time! yay

I can't carve a pumpkin to save my life. I'll sit back and watch though.

Sorry I am going to be a party pooper! I hate Halloween and all the neighbourhood weans knocking on the door and making my Jack Russells bark their heeds aff for the night! Then there's Bonfire night and the days before and after are punctuated by fireworks the size of exocet missiles blowing up all around us making the dogs bark until our ears bleed! But just in case you think I am an old humbug - I adore Christmas and all the tat that goes with it!

Happy Halloween!

We don't celebrate Halloween.

Let me tell you! It's not so easy to not celebrate with small kidlets but we do celebrate fall & harvest time. I haven't craved a pumpkin in years but I'm tempted to pull out the craving set and try my hand at a non-jackolantern looking pumpkin. ;-D

I'll post if I do something somewhat nice to look at.
