Aromatherapy

Im personally a firm believer in aromatherapy oils, although i know this is not everyones cup of tea! I have been studying the subject for about two years now, but it is just a life time hobby, and a occassional offering of help and advice if called for. Let me know your views on this topic! toodle pip!

I love aromatherapy oils, too, but would love to take some time to learn more about them. I use mandarin and grapefruit for my cleaning solutions....they smell so good and make me feel like cleaning :)

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog and I hope your new year is a great one!

I've experimented a bit with aromatherapy to help alleviate depression and anxiety, and I think there's something to it. I'm not sure that any guide can provide the perfect recipe for every person, because I think that it works more on an associative level. Scent triggers memory, and since my memory of a certain scent wouldn't be the same as yours, it may not have the same effect.

Having said that, there are many scents that are widely associated with certain feelings (ie. citrus fruits being associated with freshness), so books and recipes can be a useful guide, I think.

And I agree, mandarin and grapefruit would be lovely to clean with. :)
