Monday Muse

Monday Muse!!
(Where this underlining comes from, I just do not know!)

Oh, I having been sitting here wondering what I had forgotten to do today, when it hit me. My Monday Muse! So sorry it is late but here goes, better late than never as they say, whoever they are!

This is what greets you when you look out our living room window at night in darkness.

Yet when the lights are on, the living room is reflected to look like the living room continues outside the window! (OK, I am also easily amused!)
So that is my muse this week, reflections through the window!

All the best!!

My Monday Muse!!

Hello! Is it Monday already? Cripes!

I have a new muse in my life. Feeding the birds! I actually do this every Saturday morning as a wee ritual and I have to tell you, I love it! I feel like I am making new friends! The gulls!

I grab any left over bread that is sitting in the house and grab my coat and wrap up warm! I walk down to the sea shore with not a bird in sight. But as soon as I make that rustling noise with the bread wrapper, one soars upwards above me.

Then two......................until suddenly,

Gulls everywhere!

They all line up waiting for me to throw a piece of bread!
I want to fly!

and soon enough the bread has gone and I leave them to squabble and squawk insults to each other about who got the most bread and who didn't I guess.

I love the way they get so close that you can see their wings and feathers glide through the air!

Oh, and yes, I wear a old coat with the hood up, and am afraid of the gulls getting a bit too excited and pooping on me, good luck or not!
I hope all is well in your world....................................

Cheerio for now!!

Monday Muse!

My muse for Monday is the the wonderful moon
that I am star bound lucky to have the privilege of having ring side seats of a magical view of the moon rising AND setting most nights in the sky in my wee flat by the water.( I am still waiting for the knock on the door for someone to tell me to get out.That thought really frightens me.)

Last night I was awe stuck when I saw the waxing moon turn a dull, yet powerful red glow at the edge of the sky and I blew her a kiss as she slipped away into the water. I tried to take a picture of the beauty, but it seemed to be for my eyes only and for that I will be forever grateful.

It does not get much better than that in my eyes. I wish I could have shared it with you. I need the moon's rays to help me through the up coming days and weeks. Strange times lay ahead and I have to cope with it graciously and fairly as I can. Sorry for being so cryptic, but any way my moon is my muse, especially today, Monday being named after it. Sorry such a serious post, I am bored already, but I had to put it out there! I will have to get up to some mischief at some point this week. Have a great week!

PS: I have tried my hand at making a button. It is on my left hand side bar. So if you wanto grab it, just right click copy and paste! Thank you peeps!

Monday Muse

I am reading a lovely wee book called Essential Poems (To fall in love with) Edited by Daisy Goodwin. Here is a couple of my favourites.

He wishes for the cloths of heaven
By W.B. Yeats

Had I The heavens embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with the golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim ans the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet;

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

The Look
by Sara Teasdale

Strephon kissed me in the Spring,

Robin in the fall,

But Colin only looked at me

And never kissed at all.

Strephon's kiss was lost in jest,

Robin's lost in play,

But the kiss in Clion's eyes

Haunts me night and day.

This has been my first Monday Muse.
